There are a few different companies that offer plus size clothing such as Obermeyer, Columbia, Spyder, Descente, The North Face and others. One thing to keep in mind is that most of these companies simply make clothing in bigger sizes such as 2XL, 3XL and so on.
However, some companies offer special fits such as tall, long or husky in addition to these sizes. For example, an Obermeyer jacket may come in 2XL, and also 2XL-T where the T stands for tall. This means that there is extra length to the jacket to accommodate personal sizing needs.
There are also snow pants that come in long sizing or short, giving extra length or less length where needed. These will be labeled with the initial size, such as L for large, and an S or L or denote the length of short or tall resulting in L-L or LL for large in a long length, or L-S or LS for a large in a short length.
Kids pants are also offered in plus sizes, if your child needs a little extra room. For Obermeyer these pants are indicated by an H for husky after the size. In Spyder clothing the pant will have the word ‘plus’ in the title, such as the Force Plus Pant.
