Wonder where the SKIS.com team is shredding this season? We asked SKIS.com employees where they are planning to ski or snowboard this winter and what they love most about these spots. Catch us laying down tracks at these mountains this winter:

Name: Jenna Pate
Position: Snowboard Buyer
Age: 31

What ski destination do you plan on traveling to this season?
I’m sure I’ll end up at Vail in some way. I always do. I’d really like to get out to Whistler. I usually watch who is having the better season and plan my trip that way. California was incredible for an end of season spring trip this year. Bummed I missed out on a late A-basin trip in June this past year, so after the season come summer I‘ll be headed to Mt.Hood!

Have you ever been to this destination?
I’ve never been to Whistler which is one of the reasons I want to go. I’d also like to make it out to Montana at some point.

What is it about this destination you like most?
I usually end up in Colorado because it’s easy. I get the Epic local because one of our local resorts is on it and then I head out to Colorado because the flights are usually so cheap. There’s also something to be said about knowing a resort. Sometimes at a new resort you end up wasting so much time looking for spots that the day/trip is over before you know it. It’s nice to ride a mountain you know or ride with someone who knows it. Vail’s so big that there’s always something you can find, and if not, you’ve got Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek and Copper right down the road.

What ski destination do you plan on traveling to this season?
Heavenly Mountain Resort – Lake Tahoe, California.

Have you ever been to this destination?
Yes.

What is it about this destination you like most?
Heavenly Mountain allows you to ski 2 states in 1 day, with a massive slope range that covers Nevada and California. It has some of the most scenic snow-covered peaks and breathtaking lake views. Some of the reasons I love Heavenly: fresh-powder snow, ample snow-making, consistent well-groomed runs, alternative terrain, trails, optimal runs for all skill levels, lots of sunshine and exceptional amenities.
