Here at Skis.com, we sell fun. So we like to have fun in our office and keep things light. What’s the best possible way to keep a light, fun atmosphere? Make it dog friendly of course! So we’ve decided to introduce the world to our dog crew that makes our days just a little bit easier and more fun.
Telli (full name Telluride)
Telli is our free range office dog, with a heart that’s almost as big as her butt. Almost. Every day she makes her rounds to visit everyone she possibly can so she can breathe loudly next to them and nudge their legs until she gets the attention she so desperately needs. She has also been known to honk, grunt and whine until you do her bidding.
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Australian Sheppard
Likes: Small children, big children, people in general, and butt wiggling
Dislikes: Other dogs stealing her spotlight, our yoga instructor for no reason, menacing stares, and nerf guns
Secret Ambition: To go into a daycare center and run free with the children
Bauer is our resident sweet heart with an occasional loud mouth, especially when he sees Telli. He’s a super swimmer who loves the water and boating, as you may have noticed from his stunning pictures. He has even been known to ride on the front of stand up paddleboards well, until he feels like getting in the water. Balls are his favorite and he can run them down like Flash Gordon.
Age: 3.5 years old
Breed: German Sheppard/Greyhound mix
Likes: His crazy dog lady human Jami, people, peanut butter, blueberries, and getting way too excited about nothing
Dislikes: Apples, Telli, and being away from his human
Secret Ambition: To finally be allowed to go insane at an office meeting and bark his head off
Jack is the calm, cute and collected office dog… until he leaves the office and loses his freaking mind. It’s true; Jack is as sweet and good as can be while in the office, but as soon as he leaves he becomes a crazy person with the energy of a grizzly bear jacked up on Red Bull. He’s the classic Jekyll and Hyde, but with all the adorability of, well, a sweet cuddly dog.
Age: 8 years old
Breed: Mutt of adorable descent
Likes: Running at top speed, panicking, being as close to you as possible while riding in cars, even if you’re driving, and trying to catch the snow you throw from a shovel
Dislikes: People walking by outside, loud noises, and most inanimate objects
Secret Ambition: To run races with the Greyhounds, and then do 500 more laps around the stadium
Roscoe is the epitome of a gentle giant. He’s big enough to lay his head on your desk while you’re working, but also wants to sit in your lap while you pet him, which can be difficult. He looks like he could swallow you whole, but he really just wants to bring you a present when you visit him, like his food bowl or a bit of his leash. He also has a major crush on Telli, and will drag the entire desk he’s tied to away from the wall to get to her. And none shall pass until they give him a treat or a pet.
Age: 4 years old
Breed: Doberman/Rottweiler mix
Likes: Barking at anyone in a brown uniform (the USPS carriers are cool though), going to his human’s cabin, standing guard at his human’s cabin, carrots, and ice cubes
Dislikes: Being left at home during work, cats, and sleeping on the floor instead of the bed
Secret Ambition: To steal Telli away in the night and lick her face forever. And finally catch that damn red dot from the laser pointer
Codah is the fuzziest, cutest, snowiest, most bestest winter dog around. She’s super excitable, to the point where she has been known to pee immediately when she sees certain people (mainly me). She also loves to play so much that she tends to piss off other dogs by repeatedly pawing them in the face when they don’t want to play. But she’s easily forgiven for being so adorable, even when she sneaks into photo shoots to get some glamour shots. Sometimes she starts conversations in the office with her husky howls, but mostly she just leaves trails of fur wherever she goes, which is everywhere at high speed if it’s up to her.
Age: 2.5 years old
Breed: Husky Malamute mix
Likes: Shedding, winter, hiking, shedding, hammocks, pulling people on long boards, anything sour, and shedding
Dislikes: Being inside, summer, being left at home, and pretzels
Secret Ambition: To be a snowmobile and run through the snow all day
Gracie is our scruffy, playful and loving office dog who loves to run, chase the ball, catch the Frisbee and share food with her human siblings. She loves the snow, but is equally at home swimming in a lake or chilling on a paddle board. She was raised in Colorado, but has spent time in Florida, Kansas, Michigan, South Carolina, Utah and other cool places. Long story short, this dog is worldlier than you, and probably cuter.
Age: 9.5 years old
Breed: Wirehaired Pointing Griffon/Lab mix
Likes: Kids, snow, food, tennis balls, Frisbees, and watermelon
Dislikes: Portapotties, construction barricades, and kites
Secret Ambition: To catch the squirrels in real life and the rabbits in her dreams.
Lilly is one of our only pocket-sized office dogs, but don’t tell her that. She seems to think that she’s roughly the size of a horse, and acts that way too. She will NOT take any of the big dogs’ crap, and can play with the best of them. But she’s also very cool with being picked up and cradled like a baby. If you rub her belly during this she makes very distinct, and often disruptive, pig noises. So naturally, she’s an office favorite.
Age: 9 years old
Breed: Boston terrier
Likes: Sleeping, more sleeping, belly pets, toy dinosaurs, and travel by backpack
Dislikes: Her brother Hex, cold weather, and water (with a fiery passion)
Secret Ambition: To grow to be the size of a dinosaur and then beat up her brother Hex
Raleigh is our resident beagle in the office. She’s pretty calm most of the time, until absolutely anything or anyone crosses her line of vision. Then it’s freak out central for Raleigh, with a contest of who can howl the loudest. Unfortunately, it never seems that anyone else knows they’re playing. But otherwise, she lays around quietly, just waiting for pets and outside time, just like the rest of the Skis.com team.
Age: 5 years old
Likes: Being outside, running until her ears float in the wind, trails, anything that bounces, and smelling crap (literally and figuratively)
Dislikes: Boys, anything that walks in front of her house, being forced to sit before she’s allowed to eat food
Secret Ambition: To win American Idol for her howling, which she practices for a lot
William is our other pocket-sized office dog. But just like Lilly, he thinks he’s a freaking grizzly bear. William is insanely good at wearing bow ties and looking like a stuffed animal, which makes him very popular here at the Skis.com office. He’s the perfect lap dog and will snooze for hours while you type away, and has effectively squashed everyone’s stereotypes of Pomeranians while he’s been here because he’s just that cool.
Age: 8 years old
Likes: Corn on the cob, bananas, napping, and chicken wing scratches (the inside of his little legs)
Dislikes: UPS/mail trucks, his cat neighbor, squirrels, and dub-step
Secret Ambition: To be a rap star named Lil’ Nephew… don’t ask
Sweet sweet Sadie. What’s there to say about such an adorable pup? Sure, she tends to have more energy at work than a 5 year old with ADHD, but that face is very hard to be mad at. She does love to whine when her human leaves his desk and doesn’t take her with him, but that just means someone else will get up and come pet her. She’s also the youngin of the office dogs, so she gets a free pass on anything bad she does.
Age: 2 years old
Breed: German Sheppard/Sheltie mix
Likes: Playing with small humans, charging through the snow, and catching and destroying snowballs
Dislikes: Hipsters, ice, rain, and our ski buyer Thom
Secret Ambition: Getting to be a dog that has a permit to live in the town of Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon (very few dogs are allowed to live there)
Charlie (full name Charlie Daniels)
Charlie is one of our newer office dogs, but he has settled in right away. He always looks like he’s having the time of his life, even if he’s just sitting in a corner. Pets and food are his life blood, like any good dog. His favorite toy is Mr. Fox, making him the real life version of the fox and the hound. But his real passion, just like the rest of us here at Skis.com, is being outside, all day everyday if he could.
Age: 5 years old
Breed: Sheppard and Lab mix
Likes: Playing fetch, chasing squirrels, chasing cats outside, and chasing cats inside
Dislikes: Bath time, thunder, and a black cat who wanders around his home town neighborhood
Secret Ambition: To eat all the food! Not really a secret though
