For the past couple years, we’ve partnered up with SkiandSnowboardMonth.org to sponsor Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month. It’s no secret that the ski industry is desperate for fresh meat, but learning to ski or snowboard is full of obstacles.
SkiandSnowboardMonth.org was put together to encourage people to get out on the slopes. Between the site and their sponsors they provide the resources, discounts, and information that help new skiers feel comfortable. Let’s take a look at all the ways to get you on the hill this season.
Take a Lesson, Get Paid
So we’re going to start this out at the home front. For the entire month of January, we’re paying you to take a lesson. It’s super easy, go take a lesson during the month of January and send a photo of your smiling face and a copy of your receipt to LearntoSki@Skis.com and we’ll send you $50 in store credit. Clearly, you’re going to fall in love and want all of the greatest winter things and we want to make sure you start off on the right foot. FYI – we’re doing this for all you snowboarders out there too.
World’s Largest Ski Lesson
Today (January 6th) the entire industry gathered together to help accomplish the world’s largest ski lesson. Seriously, this isn’t a joke, resorts from all over the country gathered together to host a group skiing lesson all at the same time. It was a momentous event.
We brought this up a couple weeks back, so let’s keep it short and sweet. Is today your first day skiing or snowboarding? Well, show the world your smiling face with the hashtag #FristDayFaces and you could with a $250 gift card to Skis.com or Snowboards.com.
Want to double your chances? Bring a friend with you to the mountain. Learning is better in groups and you’re going to need someone to corroborate all of your stories. Help a friend start skiing and use the same #FirstDayFaces tag and you’ll be entered as well! You could win amazing prizes from companies like Burton, Head, Rossignol, Transpack, Elan, Lange and more!
